The North Suburban YMCA’s 11th Annual Strong Kids Dinner was held on March 9, 2017, bringing the community together for an exciting evening of fun, food, and socializing to benefit the Y’s Strong Kids Financial Assistance Fund. The popular event, held at Pinstripes Bocce & Bowling in Northbrook, Illinois, netted $225,000, critical funding that enables the Y to keep its lifechanging programs and services available to all, regardless of financial need.
More than one out of five individuals at the Y – over 2,500 people – receive financial assistance through the Strong Kids Fund for afterschool programs, summer camp, lifesaving swim lessons, and other wellness activities for all ages. Since its inception, the Strong Kids Dinner has raised over $2.2 million to help the community live well.
The event featured a superhero theme, encouraging guests to be everyday heroes for children in the community.
