Juliana's Cookie World: Girls Scouts Heart of the Hudson

Senior Executive Vice Intern and AmpliVox Superstar, Ms. Juliana, is proudly moonlighting as a Girl Scout from the Heart of the Hudson and is currently raising money for an important program.

With the turn of the new year, the Girl Scout Cookie season has officially begun. Buying Girl Scout Cookies does a world of good.

Through this fundraiser, girls not only learn goal setting, but decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics aspects essential to leadership, to success, and to life.

When you purchase Girl Scout Cookies, you're supporting girls’ ability to learn, grow, and thrive through adventure.

Running their very own Girl Scout Cookie business makes it all possible, from camping trips that teach them how to be resourceful to STEM projects that inspire them to change the world and epic treks that remind them they’re capable of anything.

Girl Scouts selling Girl Scout Cookies set their own money-earning goals for the season. Juliana's plan of action and campaign proceeds will go towards:
  • "People who cannot afford their own food"
  • Camp activities for new Girl Scouts
  • Go on a camping trip

Please join Juliana's Cookie World and enjoy your selection of:

AmpliVox Joins the North Suburban YMCA in Celebrating Black History Month

AmpliVox Sound Systems, a long supporter of YMCA programs and activities, joins the North Suburban YMCA (NSYMCA) in celebration of Black History Month. NYSMCA will present "African Americans and the YMCA," a virtual event on Thursday February 17 at 7pm.

The presentation, sponsored by the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee (DEI), a collective of NSYMCA staff and board members, and the YMCA Education Series (Y.E.S), will showcase African American contributions throughout the history of the YMCA.

The program is free and open to the public.

"African Americans and the YMCA" will focus on how during its inception, the YMCA struggled with racial segregation, and how African Americans helped move the YMCA to be more inclusive. The event will showcase African American contributions through the history of the YMCA. Participants may register for the event here.

Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation. Black History Month celebrates the rich cultural heritage, triumphs and adversities that are an indelible part of our country's history.

"The North Suburban YMCA is an important part of AmpliVox’s ongoing community involvement," said Don Roth, AmpliVox CEO.

"Over the years, we have helped them with fund-raising and contributions of AmpliVox PAs and lecterns in their many activities. Now, we proudly join them in celebrating Black History Month."
