AmpliVox Celebrates the Swinging Sounds of Jazz Greats

During April Jazz Appreciation Month, AmpliVox Sound Systems has been swinging to the great sounds of many of the great jazz performers, in every category – female and male vocalists, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, drummers, piano, guitar, bass, and saxophone.

See clips of some great musicians in each of these categories, plus AmpliVox’s list of many great performers.

"We’re a company that’s all about sounding great and looking great," said AmpliVox CEO Don Roth.

"I fell in love with music at age six when my parents started me on the piano.

Young Don Roth at the piano

And I’ve been a lover of jazz all my life."

Today, many AmpliVox employees are musicians – an appropriate talent when you’re building PA systems that amplify crystal clear voice or music to audiences as large as 10,000.

From designing and matching up the acoustically ideal electronic components – microphones, amplifiers, speakers and circuitry, to rigorously testing in the company’s on-site anechoic chamber, to precision manufacturing and testing before every unit goes out the door of its Northbrook, IL, factory, AmpliVox is passionate about getting exactly right the elements of great sound.

The proof is in the performance. Just ask performers like New York singer Carla Bordonada. Watch her in this video clip give a testimonial to the sweet sound of the AmpliVox SW915 Digital Audio Travel Partner by singing "At Last," made popular by rhythm and blues singer Etta James.

The SW915 has since been upgraded to the SW925-96 (link to SW925-96) featuring 96-channel wireless sound, for interference-free wireless communication.

Upgraded 96 Channel Wireless Capability

"We can’t all sound like the jazz greats," said Roth, "but we can impress our audiences by sounding and looking our best.

Great sound, portability, dependability, and American-made quality is what AmpliVox is all about.

Just ask our many satisfied customers, including educators, musicians, businessmen, emergency service providers, and more."

Get Your Groove On - Midwest Women Riders Woodstock 2021

April 30th – May 1st, 2021 - McHenry County Fairgrounds - Woodstock, IL

Women Riders Motorcycle Group USA (WRMGUSA)" and Midwest Women Riders (MWR) is a community for WOMEN ONLY who ride their own motorcycle and for ladies who have a strong desire to ride their own.

They promote, support, and mentor ALL female riders from first timers to those who have been riding for many, many years, welcoming all make and model of bikes.

The first Saturday every year in May is designated as International Female Ride Day, and each year WRMGUSA and MWR host an event celebrating the female rider.

This day brings together the sisterhood of women riders who share the passion for riding motorcycles.

The event has grown tremendously through the years beginning in 2012 with just 15 female riders to over riders in 2019.

This year they are anticipating an attendance of over 600 ladies!!!

There is nothing more awesome to see miles and miles of female riders rumbling down the road.

As a "community" they like to give back and help/support their neighbors and those in need.

Each year during their event, they choose one or more charities in need of funding.

The community of female riders are very generous in their giving with thousands of dollars having been presented to designated organizations.

For the 2021 event, they have chosen to support K9 For Veterans Nfp and TLS Veterans (Transitional Living Services for Veterans).

AmpliVox greatly appreciates being a part of this GROOVY event, donating S602R Megaphone to help the announcers address the crowd.

The Mity-Meg Megaphone has proven time and again to be a valuable communication tool in outdoor settings.

The powerful device allows you to be heard up to one mile away, making it an effective way to reach large crowds and overcome background noises outdoors.

The built-in Lithium-Ion battery pack makes charging the megaphone easy, and ensures its dependability no matter when you may need it.

When the event coordinators must address the participants and bikers thundering down the street, the Mity-Meg Megaphone can provide clear communication that cuts through the noise without raising or straining your voice.

Featuring three unique sound modes — talk, siren, and whistle — and a comfortable pistol grip, the Mity-Meg Megaphone helps you maintain control and give direction in any situation, which is vital in fostering a safe and positive environment for all in attendance.

"Mr Northbrook" Ron Bernardi Officiating Intimate Home Funeral Services

Ron Bernardi, Northbrook's man about town and AmpliVox's friend has dedicated his life to giving back to the community.

Proud Rotarian for over 40+ years, Ron has been on the board of:
  • Northbrook Historical Society
  • Chamber Board
  • Civic Foundation
  • North Suburban YMCA
Ron radiates geniality, kindness and enthusiasm, all of which make him an excellent community liaison for the family-owned, community-centric company Sunset Foods.

When he’s not representing Sunset in the community, you can find him raising tens of thousands of dollars for local organizations as an auctioneer—a job he fell into and loves.

Everyone in Northbrook, IL knows and loves Ron Bernardi and wants Ron Bernardi at their event. His love for God and his devotion to personal Bible study is where he gets his faith and strength, defining the man for who he truly is.

"Basically, I don’t say no. I feel that if God gives you a gift and you don’t use it, it is a sin" says Ron. "That is what we were designed for.

We are all wired differently and have different gifts and when we use them it is very fulfilling. It brings me happiness."

Due to the recent events of the Coronavirus pandemic, at home funerals have gained popularity. Caring for a loved one in the privacy of familiar surroundings, home funerals restore the intimacy of traditional grieving rituals.

A home funeral can create a special space around the deceased, where people can gather and spiritual practices can take place for everyone to engage in creative and meaningful ways.

Beloved friend to many, Brother Bernardi has been asked by the deceased's family to be the funeral celebrant and has officiated several home funerals as of late, leading their service, religious prayers and scripture readings.
