Amplivox Time Capsule: Vintage Sound Cruiser PA System

Amplivox Sound Systems was originally founded as Perma Power in 1952 by Norm Ackerman. He introduced the Amplivox line of Portable PA Systems in the 1960s. The company also introduced on the first residential radio-controlled garage door openers, supplying Craftsman door openers to Sears. In the late 1970s, the company added power strips, surge suppressors, power conditioners, and uninterruptable power systems (UPS) for computers.

LinkCEO Don Roth acquired Amplivox Sound Systems from Norm Ackerman in 1995. Since then he has introduced dozens of new products, industry leading warranties, superior customer service, environmental efforts, and several charities such as the Pink Podium Promise and the Speak Up For America donation programs.

A lot of the Amplivox products have been around for a long time. They are continually being re-designed to adapt to the needs of the consumers. The Sound Cruiser PA System has been around since the 1940s. Its outward physical appearance hasn't changed much over the years. We've updated all the components to accomodate the technological advancements of the 21st century and changed the base to a metal alloy.

The Sound Cruiser was ahead of its time in the 1940s and is still the best mountable battery powered pa system on the markets to date. Mount to any car, truck, or vehicle with easy to use suction cups and straps. Its able to be heard clearly up to a half mile away, the two speakers allow you to be heard in 180°s or add additional speakers to be heard in a 360° radius. It's weather resistant tapered horns make it ideal for boats, parades, Fire and Rescue, EMS & Police!
