Celebrating And Commemorating Juneteenth National Independence Day

President Joe Biden signed legislation Thursday establishing a new federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery.

Juneteenth's commemoration is on the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865, announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army general Gordon Granger, proclaiming and enforcing freedom of enslaved people in Texas, which was the last state of the Confederacy with institutional slavery.

It’s the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was created in 1983.

Crowds gathered and celebrated across America hosting rallies, bike ride parades and block parties.

Well, Look Who Was at the Cubs Game vs the NY Mets at Citi Field

AmpliVox CEO Don Roth's grandson Griffin, with his mom Jes, were at the Cubs game recently and briefly shown on the big screen as the Mets were running away with it in the bottom of the second.

Young Griffin, being born and raised in New York, was naturally rooting for the home team as the Mets won the game 6-3.

Grandfather Don, being kind and wise, will let Griffin's little transgression slide this time while he cheers for the wrong side as everyone knows that the Chicago Cubs are America's team!

AmpliVox Donates Custom Lectern for WGA Evans Scholars Invitational

Conducted by the Western Golf Association (WGA) to benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, the Evans Scholars Invitational is the proving ground for the next wave of PGA TOUR stars.

The WGA conducts championships for professional and amateur golfers, promotes the use of youth caddies and supports the Evans Scholars Foundation's efforts to award full tuition and housing college scholarships to high-achieving caddies with limited financial means.

At this year's event Cameron Young completes back-to-back victories finishing off a five-stroke victory at the 2021 Evans Scholars Invitational with a 4-under 67 Sunday, totaling an 18-under 266 at The Glen Club.

The Evans Scholars Invitational is the 11th of 23 tournaments on the 2021 Korn-Ferry Tour, a developmental tour for the U.S.-based PGA Tour.

Since the 2013 season, the Korn Ferry Tour has been the primary pathway for those seeking to earn their PGA Tour card.

For the event, AmpliVox CEO Don Roth donated to the Western Golf Association a custom green SN3250 Pinnacle Multimedia Lectern.

"We truly appreciate the AmpliVox’s generosity and support of the Western Golf Association with the donation of the Pinnacle lectern," said Chris Montagano, tournament director for the Evans Scholars Invitational.
This highly portable lectern is made from a durable hard plastic shell with a sculpted profile and radius corners that holds up under tough use, indoors and out - it's weatherproof and waterproof.

The Western Golf Association's logo was added prominently to the lectern, making the organization stand out.

Flat reading surface allows your laptop or projector to sit flat and secure, while the soft cushion wrist rest / paper stop provides comfort as well as function.

Make your brand stand out at your next event. A customized AmpliVox lectern with your company logo will set your organization apart while enhancing your professional presence at your conferences, business meetings and hosted events.

"We’re pleased to support the development of young golfers, just as we support various other causes with donations of products, as well as fund-raising," said AmpliVox CEO Don Roth.

"The Pinnacle lectern is ideal for outdoor or indoor events because it is manufactured from a durable hard plastic shell that can withstand the elements.

It is also available with a built-in PA system, either wireless and battery-powered, or one that connects to a house sound system."
