AmpliVox Wireless Lapel Microphone Review from Customer | Testimonials

Fine Fortune

I teach a weekly non-denominational adult Bible study, and as the group grew larger it became difficult for some to hear me speak. I purchased an AmpliVox Buddy Amplifier but found the hand held microphone to be quite cumbersome. My wife then ordered the AmpliVox S1600 wireless microphone system (with lapel mic)for me. It is an excellent product and picks up the sound easily. Even persons sitting at the opposite end of the large room (some of whom are "hard of hearing") report that they can hear and understand every word. I would highly recommend this product.

Guest Blogger: Could a Power Outage Mean Lights Out for your Business?

Recently a major series of windy storms punched hard in Chicago and knocked out power to Amplivox Portable Sound Systems in Northbrook IL.  Many problems were overcome and many lessons were learned in returning Amplivox to normal operations 2.5 days later.

One glaring issue confronting the Amplivox emergency response team was the lack of a written continuity plan to deal with the ever changing set of issues that needed to be identified and resolved during the outage- many unexpected but all foreseeable.

Can your business survive the unexpected?
Does your small business have what it takes to adjust and recover?

Fortunately for Amplivox, the return to normal operations resolved after the lights came back on in 2 and a half days.

Unfortunately if a business cannot return to operations within a 10 day operations window, insurance statistics indicate 80% of those businesses are likely to close their doors within a month!  For Amplivox, we just had one core problem to solve- loss of electricity.

Think about managing a multiple event- a flood or a fire that not only knocks out power, but costs your business your inventory, your IT assets, your phone system.

What if the “money stopped coming in’?

Firestorm encourages businesses of all sizes to develop business continuity and business resumption resources for your organization.  While this process can sometimes seem overwhelming, between identifying likely risks, developing plans and drilling for best practices, it can be managed in as little as a few focused hours every quarter.

As Firestorm likes to say, Luck is NOT a strategic plan.

Organizations that are planning “to be there” after most disasters view their business continuity capabilities as strategic assets as important as a motivated work force and a sterling business reputation.

Take inventory of who depends on your business:  your customers, vendors and business partners obviously come to mind.  Drill down a bit deeper and you will a workforce whose professional lives are intertwined with your business goal, families that rely on your business success to put food on their table and even a local economy that exists because they support and encourage a healthy local economy.
Failure to plan, as the saying goes, means planning to fail.

Using iPods in the Classroom: Products for Education (PA System and Listening Center)

A major trend in education is using relevant technology to aid the learning process.

Using iPods in the classroom is a great tool for teachers to be able to connect relevant information to their students and mix up the learning process.

Using iPads in education is another trend that engages students and gives them a fun activity to look forward to. Both the iPod PA System and the iPod School Listening Center are iPad and iPhone compatible so you won't miss a beat in your classroom.
  • iPod PA System: This 30-watt PA system plays and charges your iPod and has a built-in DVD player and video out port so you can connect a projector and enjoy clear sound with your video.  It is made to be completely portable and has a built-in rechargeable battery as well as a tripod stand.
  • Digital iPod School Listening Center: This new product is a great tool for teachers seeking to teach students literacy or a foreign language. These can be transformed into iPad Listening Center because they are iPad-compatible.  With many possible listening center activities and ideas out there, this is a great tool for teachers to use for years to come.

Outdoor PA Systems for Marathons and Triathlons

Outdoor sporting events like marathons, triathlons, 5Ks, bike races, cross country meets, and track meets all gather hundreds if not thousands of athletes, coaches, spectators and even mascots.  Events like these require coordination before, during, and after the race.

To help coordinate the start and end of events, to move people from one area to another, and be ready for emergency situations, having a portable public address system for the event is a must.

MityVox Wireless Battery Powered PA System Customer Review/Testimonial

It's a little jewel. Will get another one!

By Art - Oct 22, 2010

PRO: I purchased this for the North County Parkinson's Support Group. The wireless mic is very helpful to pass around to individuals while the MC uses the wired mic both at the same time. This unit has an internal battery that we keep charged. Also it can be run on AC or flashlight batteries. Our meeting lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. We have no trouble using the internal battery. All this for a reasonable price and a six year guarantee.

CON: the manual does not explain how the charging works or the entry into the rear panel. The company support was excellent in explaining how the unit works.***

***The person reviewing this must have not seen the spec sheet for the Mity-Vox PA System nor the operating instructions for the Mity-Vox PA System, because those show clearly a lot about the MityVox.

Construction Equipment PA Systems from AmpliVox

Construction sites are places of ingenuity and development but can quickly turn into a place of turmoil and devastation if the proper saftey measures are not considered.

Hardhats, ear protection, and other vital safety measures must be in place in order to ensure a safe and productive workplace.

One of those safety measures is a clear means of communication for foremen and managers to communicate their safety/emergency message over the loud noises of bulldozers and other construction equipment.

Portable PA Systems are needed to ensure that emergency messages are heard loud and clear by everyone.

AmpliVox has several portable sound systems that are great additions to any work site because they are portable, battery-powered, and extremely durable.

The Half-Mile Hailer is the leading portable PA system for construction sites and is a loudspeaker system with wireless options.  This system is:
            • Extremely Durable. (See testimonial of bull stomping on Hailer)
            • Long Lasting.  It comes with an industry leading 6 year warranty and has been known to last decades.  Just ask Kurt.
            • Wireless.  The SW610 Wireless Hailer comes with a wireless mic and built in transmitter.  The batteries last up to 200 hours!
The Car version of the Hailer is the:

Sound Cruiser Vehicle PA System is the ideal system for construction equipment sound and easily straps onto any vehicle or piece of construction equipment with straps and suction cups.  This 50 watt system can project your voice up to one half mile just like the Half-Mile Hailer.

Another construction site must is the Mity-Meg Megaphone.  Our popular battery powered megaphone has 3 Modes:
The MityMeg Plus features a detachable corded mic and shoulder strap to keep you comfortable all day.
