Holiday Harmony: MYAC's Holiday Concert Embraces the Joyous Season

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory's Jazz, Choral and Orchestra students take the stage at Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall to present a free holiday concert event for the whole family.

A collection of Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanza music will be performed while the audience is invited to join in caroling, complete with a special visit from Santa.

The annual holiday concert is a fun, festive and family-friendly show that celebrates the joy, love and music of the upcoming holiday season.

The concert incorporates a great variety of traditional holiday classics but leans toward pieces that are more contemporary in nature as well.

There will be both instrumental and vocal performances throughout the show, with occasional soloists mixed in with the larger ensembles.

This year MYAC’s top orchestra teams up with three of MYAC’s choral ensembles for a program featuring the music of long-time Chicago resident Gary Fry.

This free concert is a popular annual MYAC event. MYAC is Chicago’s premier educational institution for orchestra, jazz, choral music, chamber music, and more. Students range in age from 1st grade to 12th grade and meet weekly at the MYAC Center in Fort Sheridan.

The holidays are a great time to introduce children to live musical performances. The festive atmosphere and familiar tunes make it fun and relatable to even some of the youngest listeners. After all, Christmas activities can be a lot of fun, but catching a Christmas show for kids with the family can make the holidays extra special.

Celebrate the holidays with timeless Christmas music and carols, and reinforce your sound with a PA System that will amplify music to a live audience. A quality public address system is a critical technical component to any school and church event or theatre performance.

Portable sound systems can improve the audiences’s experience and engagement, allow for a more effective means of communication and provide the opportunity for members to hear the service in its entirety.

Having a professional sound system can allow for the audience to become more engaged and focused, while also helping the event run smoothly for the audience and the performers.

Creating custom settings and sound presets for the holiday event can save your time and eliminate frustrations of getting the system to the right settings.

Also, with built-in wireless audio technology you can stream audio from Android and Apple iOS devices.
