The Northbrook Chamber of Commerce presented an all-new outdoor "Mingle & Munch" fundraising event featuring a variety of local restaurants and caterers serving delicious food, silent auctions, and fun surprises.
The sold out “Mingle & Munch” was a relaxed opportunity for fellow members to connect while enjoying menu samples under the spacious tent at Butterfield’s Restaurant.
The new event incorporated elements of the traditional Auction and Taste, adapted to be a safe gathering in line with COVID restrictions. The exciting silent auction items include hotel stays, restaurant cards, and special gift packages. This festive fundraiser supported the Chamber's many programs and services.
Chamber fundraisers are essential to maintaining the organization’s high level of services while keeping dues as low as possible. The cancellation of major fundraisers in 2020, followed by the inability to hold a 300+ attendee indoor Taste & Auction this year, has compounded the problem at a time when operating expenses are increasing.
"The changing circumstances around COVID have required us to be extra creative with our programming. Fortunately, our members have been very understanding and supportive," notes Program and Events Manager Katie Walther.
