Remembering Our Local Heroes: Honoring First Responders with Travis Hall on 9/11

Since learning about the September 11 terror attacks at the age of four, Travis Hall has been doing something remarkable: feeding first responders as a way of celebrating them and thanking them for their heroism.

Travis Hall is only 13 years old, so he wasn't even born when the 9/11 terror attacks happened. But after learning about the attacks from his dad as a 4-year-old, he wanted to honor those who work to protect their communities.

For the last nine years he's been feeding first responders on 9/11 as a way of thanking them for their service.

Travis Hall’s Hero's Dinner event honored those that lost their life on September 11th, 2001 by coordinating and hosting a dinner event that fed over 150+ retired and active first responders at the Leyden Fire Protection District.

With Travis’ vision of creating the dinner evolving into a full-blown feast for first responders, local businesses and restaurants have chipped in as well.
