AmpliVox Donates Megaphones To The American Red Cross Indiana Region

AmpliVox donated a dozen SB602R Mity-Meg 25-Watt Rechargeable Megaphones to the American Red Cross Indiana Region that serves 6.3 million Hoosiers in 87 counties.


The American Red Cross has been serving the people of Indiana for more than 100 years, preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies.

Through its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners, the American Red Cross is always there in times of need to help people affected by disaster to receive care, shelter and hope.

The American Red Cross also offers the collection, processing and distribution of blood and blood products, educational programs on preparedness, in addition to communications services and comfort for military service and family members.

To enhance communication at disaster scenes and other vital operations, AmpliVox provided its signature Mity-Meg Rechargeable Megaphones to the American Red Cross of Chicago & Northern Illinois in April 2016.

The Chicago Region received twelve of the versatile portable sound systems, ten for disaster relief teams and two for Red Cross events sponsored by its Communications Department.

Beyond disaster relief, the Chicago Region delivers Community Disaster Education, First Aid/CPR, HIV/AIDS prevention, and life-saving health and safety training to thousands of people to help people prevent, prepare, and respond to emergencies.

Apple iPhone / iPad Bluetooth Connectivity Issue

The latest iOS software updates for iPhones / iPads may cause you to have issues with Bluetooth connecting with Bluetooth devices. We hope that Apple will resolve this issue soon. Until then, if you are experiencing problems connecting to your AmpliVox Bluetooth receiver you still can use your iPhone / iPad by using the headphone / earphone jack or the earphone/headphone adapter that you received with your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.

You will need an additional cable to connect to your PA. This cable needs to have a 3.5mm male plug on one end and either a 3.5mm male plug (Fig.1) or a stereo RCA male plug (Fig. 2) on the other end. Check you PA before purchasing (AUX IN type).

Cables may be available at a local retailer like Walmart, Best Buy or purchase on-line.

SNL Best: AmpliVox On Wheels In The White House

Melissa McCarthy's "Spicey" and Alec Baldwin's "Trump" returns to Saturday Night Live and got political again this past weekend with several sketches lampooning members of the Trump administration, reprising their roles as White House secretary Sean Spicer and President Donald Trump.

After her much talked about debut as Spicer, McCarthy delivered a performance that arguably beat the original and Alec Baldwin returned for hosting duties for the record 17th time, more than anyone else in the 42 year history of the sketch comedy staple.

In the shows cold open, you can watch in the video above setting the scene in a White House press briefing, "Spicey" was back at the presidential podium when all mayhem let loose.
