The 2012 Susan G. Komen Greater New York City Race for the Cure 5K was successfully held in Central Park on Sunday, September 9th, with tens of thousands of runners participating in the 5K to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
Through AmpliVox’s “Pink Podium Promise” program, we donated 40 of our special pink 10-watt megaphones to Komen race organizers. These were used by personnel during the race to direct runners and ensure the event ran smoothly. As you can see in the in the picture to the right, the megaphones perfectly complimented the pink tone of the race.
AmpliVox CEO Don Roth said providing the Komen Race for the Cure 5K with the special megaphones is what the Pink Podium Promise is all about, “We’re delighted to supply our pink power megaphones to the New York City Komen Race for the Cure. This event exemplifies the power of people coming together in a big way to accomplish great things and AmpliVox will improve communication every step of the way. We’re happy to do our part in what we hope will be another record-setting year for fundraising in the continuing fight against breast cancer.”
