AmpliVox Half-Mile Hailers Announce the 2018 USRowing Masters National Championships

The 2018 USRowing Masters National Championships was held on August 16-19, 2018 at Lake Merritt in Oakland, California. The Bay Area of California has long been known for its rowing history, in addition to the popularity of the sport in the city’s vicinity.

The regatta was an opportunity for masters rowers from across the country to come together and compete for national championships in more than 200 categories. The Lake Merritt rowing venue is located in the heart of downtown Oakland, providing a unique urban setting that allows views from all sides of the lake.

USRowing is a nonprofit membership organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States.

USRowing selects, trains and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition including the world championships, Pan American Games and Olympics.

More than 75,000 individuals and 1,300 organizations strong, USRowing serves and promotes the sport on all levels of competition.

USRowing membership reflects the spectrum of American rowers – juniors, collegians, masters and those who row for recreation, competition or fitness.
