Dear Don,

As we wrap up our 13th Annual Strong Kids fundraising event, we reflect on how luck we are to have supporters like you who believe in what we do at the North Suburban YMCA.

Here at our Y, the goal is to make sure that every child, senior or family member has the opportunity to participate in life changing programming and classes, regardless of their ability to pay.

This year’s fundraising goals exceeded our expectations, making it our most successful Strong Kids fundraiser in 13 years raising more than $350,000.

Thanks to your contributions and support, we are not only able to help people less fortunate than us, but we are able to raise additional critical funds to help “save our home” and upgrade important facility needs to our Y in 2019.

Thanks to your support as a Diamonds Sponsor we will be able to help more than 2800 deserving people a year with scholarship assistance for life saving swim lessons, summer camp, special needs classes, STEM programming and much more.

Every dollar goes a long way in helping us build happier families and stronger communities.

Thank you again for your donation! The money raised at the event makes a real difference in the lives of these children, seniors and families. None of this could be possible without people like you who believe in giving back and supporting your community.

AmpliVox Boosts YMCA Sound Quality and Fundraising Success

For its annual fundraising gala, the North Suburban YMCA in Northbrook, IL, turns to AmpliVox Sound Systems to make its auctions, presentations, and announcements intelligible to everyone.

And this year, the event was at a new venue with an acoustic challenge to overcome.

"The country club where this year’s event was held had a beautiful ballroom with a Crestron distributed house audio system," said Don Roth, AmpliVox CEO and a past YMCA board member.

"For many events, the venue’s house sound system works fine.

But the YMCA auction is a particularly noisy event with 400 people attending and multiple activities during the evening.

Intelligible sound is absolutely critical to its success.

It was decided that AmpliVox equipment would work better."

AmpliVox set up an SW925 Digital Audio Travel Partner Plus with 250 watts of power and wireless microphone.

To further enhance the sound coverage and clarity, two S1297-70 Wireless Powered Dual Speaker Kits – a total of four speakers -- were also added, with the speakers placed at key spots around the room.

In addition, the official videographer for the event was happy to be able to plug his equipment directly in an SC800 Titan Wireless Powered Companion Speaker, resulting in a direct pick-up of the audio track for his video recording with superior sound quality.

"The key is that our equipment enhanced the event’s sound without needing a house I.T. person," said Roth.

"It’s all portable and easy to set-up and use."

The effective sound clarity for the YMCA event helped the event organizers raise a total of $270,000.

"The sound system from AmpliVox was essential to our success," said Howard Schultz, President/CEO of the NSYMCA.

"Without the enhanced sound provided by AmpliVox, our presenters never would have been able to pierce the ever-present background noise heard everywhere in the room.

This year’s Strong Kids Casino Night was a tremendous success for all concerned.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, and their generosity has enabled us to meet our fundraising goals in grand style.

"We’re honored to pledge our support to the mission of raising funds and awareness to the Strong Kids Scholarship Fundraiser.".

AmpliVox Expands Retirement Home Sound Coverage and Clarity

AmpliVox Sound Systems can ensure almost any speaking venue can experience powerful sound coverage and clarity with its wireless sound technology configured for lecterns, remote speakers, and house PA systems.

What’s more, these wireless solutions save money and improve safety by eliminating the need for laying cables.

As an example, AmpliVox recently helped a retirement home in Glenview, IL, whose residents needed to be able to hear presentations and demonstrations clearly.

This was achieved by wirelessly connecting an AmpliVox lectern’s integrated sound system to the retirement home’s existing house PA system.

The solution included a panel-mounted wireless speaker transmitter inside an AmpliVox SW3020-WT Victoria Lectern.

This connected the lectern’s sound to the facility’s existing ceiling speakers and wireless Shure microphones.

With this configuration, the retirement home not only assures great sound for all residents in the room, but audience members can easily pass around multiple wireless microphones for Q&A sessions.

And, there is no need for laying cabling and taping it to the floor, thus saving labor and material cost and avoiding safety issues.

Another benefit to AmpliVox’s technology is that the retirement home’s yoga instructor is now able to play music from her iPhone playlist wirelessly through both the lectern and house sound system by utilizing the lectern’s Bluetooth connectivity.

"Often venues such as retirement homes have meeting rooms or community rooms, and they may have a sound system and a lectern, but often these don’t work together," said Don Roth, AmpliVox CEO.

"Our vast experience with wireless technology helps customers solve these problems. In our most recent retirement home application, their chair yoga classes never sounded so good!"

A Sophisticated Classic that Takes Quality to a New Level

The Victoria Multimedia lectern is both elegant and practical with its solid wood construction, scratch resistant coating and optional built in sound system.

Raised panel lectern gives a classic look in boardroom or auditorium.

Multiple coats of durable clear lacquer preserve the natural wood and enhance the grain.

This solid wood multimedia podium enhances any decor and works well as lectern or pulpit, and its drop top reading table makes it easy to use with laptops and other multimedia devices.

Plentiful storage to meet all your needs, with one large adjustable shelf.

AmpliVox Helps Boy and Girl Scouts Enjoy Les Paul Music at Graceland

Each year, Graceland welcomes hundreds of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who travel to Memphis from all over the country to enjoy a day full of learning.

The annual "Scouts Rock at Graceland" event includes a tour of the Graceland Mansion and Elvis Presley's Memphis Entertainment Complex. Participants also enjoyed on-site scouting activities, visited exhibitor booths, learned new skills and earned achievements toward badge requirements.

AmpliVox Sound Systems recently helped Boy and Girl Scouts to enjoy hearing and understanding the music of legendary guitarist and inventor Les Paul.

Exhibiting at the event was the Les Paul Foundation, which shares the legacy of Les Paul through support of music education, recording, innovation and medical research related to hearing.

Sue Baker, Les Paul Foundation Program Director, chose AmpliVox equipment to demonstrate Les Paul’s recording innovations to event participants because of its extraordinary reliability.

AmpliVox SL1006 Headphones and SL1004 Jack Box were used for the Les Paul demonstration.

Over 500 registered scouts along with accompanying adults used the donated headphones to listen to the Les Paul’s recording effects.

"The AmpliVox headsets and splitter box that connected the headsets to my laptop held up through five hours of hundreds of scouts using the sets," said Baker.

"The dependability of the AmpliVox products was a huge relief. Thank you AmpliVox for the donation of the headsets."
